CEFOVID UGANDA

CEFOVID Community Empowerment for Village Development (CEFOVID) is a registered Non Government Community based organization established in 2012 registration No- LUB: 12/212 with its office in Lubaga Division, Kampala District Uganda. In light of the growing incidence of vulnerability in slums and its adverse socioeconomic impact especially on women, the need for establishment of a proactive community led initiative to mitigate the socioeconomic impact of vulnerability was fore seen and Community Empowerment for Village Development (CEFOVID) was initiated. The main aim of CEFOVID is to contribute to increased access to comprehensive health services, home based care and social and economic support to SEVERELY vulnerable children and families in Kampala slums with a major focus on women. Our mission Is to empower these affected people and facilitate their socio-economic development through finding sustainable solutions to community problems. Our activities include resource planning and distribution, increasing access to healthcare, education and training, and working provide solutions to sanitation and waste issues within the community. Here are some examples of the work we do: - Education -Health -Economic Empowerment -WASH -Women Advocacy and Child Protection -Sports Health -Strategic partnerships and networking -Climate Change Through the continuation of our work, we hope to build self-sufficient, independent, stable communities. The retention of traditional cultural heritage and values of our people, alongside continuous technological, social advancement, is integral to what we do. We hope this info has been useful!
