Erasmus Student Network is the biggest student voluntary non-profit organization in Europe. ESN is the key volunteer student organization in international higher education in Europe. We provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development and the vision of the organization is the enrichment of the society through international student. The main value is unity in diversity, diversity in the unity. ESN Thessaloniki is part of ESN Greece, which is part of ESN International. Our main aim is to integrate international students in the local society and foster active participation of the students in the local community. We are active in their local communities organizing hundreds of various activities every year varying from social or promoting mobility actions to helping refugees and helping the community in times of crisis. The organization is most active with young people and in the local society of Greece facilitating as far as possible the assimilation into the local environment of the Erasmus students residing in Greece. Erasmus Student Network is the biggest student voluntary non-profit organization in Europe. The organisation's work includes, National and international Conferences regarding educational mobility issues, Flag Parades in order to raise awareness of multiculturalism and co-existence among the people from different backgrounds, Social events for refugees and ROMA people, Tandem- language exchanges, International Dinners, Cultural Trips, Mobility Fairs, Awareness campaigns regarding internationalism, Social events (Supporting the refugees, Romani (Rom) community (SocialErasmus Project), Promote mobility for disabled people and fostering accessibility (ExchangeAbility project) *All the events are both for Greek and international students as one of our values is “Students Helping Students”. More specifically and in the context of “SocialErasmus” Project we are providing support to the refugees by: Engaging Erasmus and Greek students with refugee Children with creative work like painting, sports, games etc. in the refugee camps, Distribution of food and clothing, One team responsible for escorting the refugees and making city tours, One team for engaging refugees with social events in order to integrate them in the Greek society, Recently applied and won a grand of 2.500 euro for buying robotic equipment in order to create a team with refugees to take part in the national robotic competition FLLG
