MOCIS

MOCIS, Centre for adult education from Slovenj Gradec (Slovenia) is a public, non-profit institution. We involve different target groups in our education, with special attention to vulnerable groups, among those also the youth. Through the programme PUM-O (Project Learning for Young Adults) we offer a free tailor-made training programme designed for young people up to 26 years of age who dropped out of school, are unemployed or who are facing learning or psychological issues. The programme empowers young people by helping them find meaning and purpose in life. It motivates them to make steps forward, either by going back to school or getting a job. The main objectives are skill acquisition in order to help them enter the labour market; free learning support while finishing school as well as support with psychological issues. We are interested in applying for a KA1 Erasmus+ programme (youth exchange) and are looking for a European school/institution with a similar profile and youth groups, aged between 18 and 30 years. We are particularly interested to be partners in the next program: 1. Where does my waste end up? • Awareness of waste issues. • How to reduce the problem of waste, how to recycle, where and how to use natural packaging? • Visit of a waste sorting unit. • Presentation of examples of good practice. • Making reusable shopping bags. • Expressing the problem through art: posters and recording of short films. • Event promotion with a presentation of the project results in our and your local community. Within the project we will carry out 3 main activities: - 5 daily activities in Slovenia - 5 daily activities in your country - International conference with presentation in Slovenia We expect your organization to cooperate with at least 8 participants and one mentor.
