Jarrón Club was founded in 2011 as a group of friends willing to promote their hobbies, e.g. juggling, board games, video games, sports, etc. The objectives of the organization are: - Discover new methods to improve and help to improve. - Establish a locus where youngsters with similar interests can meet and offer social and cultural activities. - To promote self and group development. - Teach and spread healthy leisure. - Collaborate with analogue organizations. - Facilitate public access to the activities. - Foment youth employment. - Favour interactions between different spheres of society. - Boost our members and collaborators' formation. - Motivate volunteering. - Emphasize non-discrimination (by gender or any kind). - Advocate for responsible use of natural and environmental resources. In this context, the association has put into practice activities such as workshops, demonstrations, events and exhibitions as well as training courses in schools and social centres with the youth of all groups. These activities were comprehended both in individual and collaborative events with other associations with similar objectives. We aspire to have a good impact in our region creating an exchange network of social innovation and good practices providing the NGOs with better formation and resources to set up their projects and improve their employability. Recently we have organized several activities to promote healthy lifestyles and social participation with children and teenagers and also empower youth workers by giving them tools for social intervention through circus and other scenic arts. Our main working topics nowadays are a healthy lifestyle (for both physical and mental health), creativity and art (scenic arts mostly), protection of the environment, promotion of democracy and social participation and fighting against oppression (racism, sexism, etc.). Some of the activities we develop are circus arts teaching (juggling, theatre) in schools and high schools, collaborating with other social agents with similar objectives to increase the repercussion of our actions, meetings and events where we put into practice our values and objectives. In the Erasmus+ field: In 2017 we coordinated a training course in Social Circus called “CirkSense", where we provided social circus tools to youth workers to make their activities more attractive and a new way to work with youth. In 2019 we coordinated a youth exchange called “ParticipART” in the use of scenic arts as a social participation tool for youth. The outcomes of the youth exchange were a performative show with music, theatre, acrobatics, juggling, clowning, dance and magic as well as a mural painted by the participants. In 2020 we coordinated a youth exchange called “ActivEmotion” which covered the topic of bullying and how to reduce it using emotional intelligence. With our work, we intend to develop social awareness in gender perspective, ecology, creativity, the inclusion of minorities and promotion of human rights through non-formal education, cooperation with local agents and innovative approaches to getting things done.
