Klub koroških študentov

Klub koroških študentov (Student Organisation of Koroška) is an organisation of students living in the rural region of Koroška (northern part of Slovenia). It covers an area of 12 municipalities and comprises over 5000 students. Established in 1952 with the aim of bringing students from our region together, it is the oldest student organisation in Slovenia. The organisation operates in diverse areas as it seeks to establish a better social status of its members. The organisation wants to contribute to a social and environmental sustainable development of the region of Koroška as well, since it has no universities. Thus, in all their active years the organisation operates in the fields of education, culture, sustainable development, health and welfare, social equality,sport and informal learning by developing of quality extracurricular activities primarly for our members and as well for other interested people. Every year we organise over 30 projects in all of the mentiones fields. The projects include workshops, courses, lectures, literary evenings, concerts, festivals, sport events, excursions, game nights, thrift shops, literary competitions, etc. The organisation is also active in the field of entertainment and seeks to establish more relaxed program content. We also want to act on an international level by connecting with organisations with similar interests from other countries. Klub koroških študentov is one of the main pillars of youth events in the area of Koroška. Our goal is to continually raise the quality of life of its members by investing in the development of knowledge, encouraging young people in creative spending of free time. We also want to contribute to a more equal society by offering many benefits and subsidies.
