Madiba SCS was set up in February 2014 by four (under 35) youth workers, educators and social workers and primarily aims to the development of community, seen as an harmonious system of actions and integrated processes for the promotion of development based on the protection and enhancement of human resources, environmental and cultural aspects of the territories in which it operates. The social cooperative is active in particular: - Social and cultural education and the use of all forms of art and artistic and creative in general, as a means of individual and collective growth; - Action research and participatory planning; - Local social networks building and maintenance; - Social support and job placement; - Territorial education and personal services in general; - Promotion of excellence and innovation through lifelong learning; - Prevention and promotion of education and culture. Since foundation Madiba is managing socio-educational projects at local and inter-municipality level. Madiba has in its 8 professional staff members, experts in non-formal education, educators, psychologists and youth workers with proven experience and participation in the management of: youth centers; education activities on employability skills; activities on Citizenship Education; community empowerment, activities to promote participation; peer education projects; management of summer camps, youth exchange and training course; psychological support.
