Municipality of Casorate Sempione is a Public body located near Varese in the Ticino Natural Park and close to the Milan Malpensa Airport, about 40km north-west of Milan. As public body it must ensure various government services to the citizenship. Main area of intervention: social affairs, public education, culture, environment, youth policies. We try to disseminate the culture of a sustainable environment to local schools and among our citizens - helping people at all levels. Mission of social services is prevention of bad practices among young people, collaboration with schools and with unemployment centers, youth centers and various social entrepreneurships. Thanks to its cultural services and its public library, the Municipality of Casorate Sempione has got a lot of experience in the organisation of cultural events, and it takes an active part in some cultural, artistic and musical events that involve other Municipalities. The staff is composed by 22 people, 20 volunteers, and a big network of social entrepreneurships (almost 10). This staff can grant a lot of activities in social and cultural affairs.A branch of our social services is called “InformaGiovani” InformaGiovani is intended to offer "communication" services especially dedicated to young people on various topics (such as culture, sport, leisure time, associations) but also to provide them with a point of listening and , supporting the realization of events or activities run by young people themselves. InformaGiovani is focused on young people policies and carries out its activity through a network of organizations, identifying the most significant territorial interlocutors on the various topics.
