Constanta County Directorate for Sports and Youth

The County Directorate for Sports and Youth Constanta (D.J.S.T.) Is organized based on GD 776/2010 and functions as a decentralized public service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with legal personality. Ensures the implementation at county level of the Government's strategy and policies in the fields of sports and youth and fulfills the following specific attributions: - ensures the implementation at county level of the strategy and programs of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the fields of sports and youth; - uses the leisure centers for youth in order to carry out recreational, tourist, sports activities, camps for children and youth; - follows the application and control of the observance of the normative acts in the fields of sports and youth; collaborates with the other deconcentrated institutions, with specialized bodies of the central public administration, with the local public administration authorities, with other public institutions, with legal persons of public or private law, Romanian or foreign; -organizes and carries out actions for and for youth, cultural, artistic, fun, educational, domestic and international tourism, sports and leisure activities for young people, in camps or leisure centers; -elaborates the annual calendar of own sports and youth actions and in partnership and submits it to the approval of the management of the Ministry of Youth and Sports; -acts in collaboration with the local public administration authorities for the development of the material base in the leisure centers from the funds allocated from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and from other funds, as well as for the modernization and optimization of the services for sports and youth; -provides specialized support for the realization of programs and projects for and for youth, as well as for sports by local public institutions; -collaborates, cooperates and develops partnerships with individuals and legal entities, in order to achieve the objectives in the fields of sports and youth; provides information and provides advice in the fields of sports and youth; -organizes, participates, monitors and evaluates actions in the fields of sports and youth; -organizes the database with the non-governmental organizations of and for the youth from the county; -organizes thematic camps, recreation activities, seminars, courses for non-formal education for young people and students; -organizes and implements social programs for children and young people, especially for the disadvantaged; -propose to the Ministry of Youth and Sports the establishment or abolition of the youth centers that it coordinates, in order to carry out the information and counseling activities for the youth; -finances some special programs for athletes, sections or teams from the administrative-territorial area.
