Environmental Education Center

The object of work of the Pedagogical Team of the Center is mainly the education of students in environmental issues, the training of teachers, the education of adults, the production of educational material, the development of thematic networks, local and international collaborations as well as research on environment and environmental education . The Objectives of K.P.E. Paranestiou • Awareness raising of young people on issues related to the environment, so as to develop attitudes and participatory behaviors that will contribute to the protection of ecological balance and quality of life and will ensure sustainable development. • Implementation of informal environmental education programs for groups of young people. • Support for environmental education programs. • Production of educational information material. • Liaison with scientific institutes at local, national and international level, for the purpose of scientific information, research and documentation but also cooperation for the production of educational programs. • Organization and implementation of training seminars for teachers and training programs for adults in collaboration with other governmental and non-governmental organizations. • Participation and implementation of actions and programs within the framework of Erasmus + • Promotion of research in the field of environmental education. • To develop the pedagogical - didactic processes, which will critically interpret the relationship of human societies with nature and man. • To highlight the concepts of sustainability and sustainability as quality elements of our daily lives, in relation to both the processes of nature and society. • For the education that activates young people, helps them to acquire new forms of speech and critical thinking and promotes cooperation with institutions and citizens. • For young people, for fellow teachers, who create and share their creation with their fellow human beings. • For the person who will intervene preventively, correctively and remedially in the catastrophic events that have already taken place.
