▶ The Association LOGS - Social Initiatives Group is a grass-roots organization settled in the western side of Romania, in Timisoara, that promotes integration of migrant vulnerable groups, fights human trafficking and uses education as means of overcoming social vulnerability. The members of the organization are social professionals, trainers and refugees and migrants settled in Romania. ▶The Social Initiatives Group - LOGS was founded in September 2019 as non-formal voluntary platforms of social projects mainly on migration, education and human trafficking issues, after many years of voluntary actions by the founding members from Timiș and Arad counties, western Romania. The association coordinating team consist of professionals working in the field of migration, education and human trafficking prevention for more than 8 years. As well as refugees volunteers, giving a self-representation voice on forced migration issues in Romania. ▶ Our target group are immigrants settled or in transit in Romania: irregular immigrants, asylum seekers, persons with a form of protection and third country citizens that we assist with counseling and emergency food, clothes and medicine as well as community welcome building towards immigrants. . We are working also with victims of human trafficking offering counseling, psychological support and emergency material assistance. Children at risk of school drop or from foster care are also part of your constant educational activities, this includes migrants children as well. ▶ The Association LOGS - Social Initiatives Group is a member of the Coalition for the Rights of Migrants and Refugees in Romania together with the main Romanian 22 NGOs active in the field of integration of refugees and migrants in our country. ▶ The Association LOGS - Social Initiatives Group is also a member of the national platforms ProTECT- together with 15 of the most active organizations that fight against human trafficking in Romania. ▶ The LOGS Association received in December 2022, at the Banat Excellence Gala, the "Gheorghe Ciobanu SOLIDARITY for Social Responsibility" award. The distinction was awarded for the work done in the social and humanitarian field for refugees, in 2022, in Timișoara. ▶ The LOGS association was included in the top 25 social innovators in Romania, in 2022. More than 700 social entrepreneurs who are changing Romania for the better, were mapped on the Ashoka Changemaker map from 2022. ▶ The LOGS Association was accredited as a provider of social services by the Romanian Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity in November 2022. ▶ LOGS Group of Social Initiatives was accredited by the European Solidarity Corps, the European Commission's program for volunteers and young people, as an eligible organization to offer young people the necessary conditions for involvement in solidarity activities in Romania. To receive the accreditation, LOGS went through - an evaluation of processes, regulations and procedures that meet the conditions of the European Commission in terms of volunteering. ▶ The work with refugees, motivation and community involvement of LOGS and the president Flavius Ilioni Loga, was rewarded in December 2020 by the Timișoara Community Foundation with the title of "Urban Hero". 7 Urban Heroes, 7 sources of inspiration to spread good in Timisoara, 7 examples of people who not only believe in change for the better, but also represent it, were selected within the initiative.
