Beyond Echoes

WE ARE a platform connecting people from different age groups, nationalities, and backgrounds through storytelling events hosted in various cultural institutions in Iceland and other Nordic countries. STORIES represent the vehicle for intercultural and intergenerational cooperation. Shared via spoken word and creative media, such as art, singing, dancing, filming, and various artistic expressions. BEYOND storytelling events we wish to establish a partner network and increase existing resources' visibility across partner countries. ECHOES across the communities should erase invisible obstacles dividing younger and older generations, as well as foreign and local communities. The aim is to create more inclusive communities specifically to youth, the elderly, migrants, and minority groups. FUTURE goal of our project is to build community-owned platform, which can be later on used as an empowering tool to other initiatives to implement their own projects under Beyond Echoes umbrella. www.beyond-echoes.com
