Espacio Ládano

Espacio Ládano is a non-profit non-governmental organization established in 2024, which was born with the idea of contributing to creating a fairer society. The organization is made up of people full of motivation, and aware of the social structural problems. The idea from which Espacio Ládano was born is to create initiatives and actions based on mutual support, solidarity, and cooperation between groups, organizations, young people, and anyone interested in contributing with time, experience, and knowledge. Espacio Ládano seeks cooperation away from assistance and paternalistic help. On the contrary, the idea is to work more cooperatively, avoid power hierarchies, and use dialogue and active listening for decision-making and implementing actions. Espacio Ládano is a youth organisation focused on creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the environment around them. We work mainly through non-formal education, designing experiences that combine reflection, practical learning, and community life. Our work is grounded in everyday practices rather than abstract concepts. Instead of approaching topics like ecology or social change only from a theoretical perspective, we create learning environments where young people can experience these ideas in a tangible way: living together, sharing responsibilities, being in with nature, and reflecting collectively on their role in the world. Our regular youth work activities include: - Facilitating youth exchanges and training courses under Erasmus+, focused on community building, wellbeing, and environmental awareness with a gender perspective - Designing and implementing workshops using non-formal education methodologies (group dynamics, outdoor learning, creative expression, and embodied practices) - Collaborating with local communities, especially in rural areas, to connect young people with different ways of living and organizing collectively - Creating intergenerational spaces where knowledge, experiences, and life paths can be shared - Promoting Erasmus+ opportunities among young people in our local context, making them more accessible and understandable, and encouraging their active participation in international learning experiences - Exploring and implementing new ways of dissemination together with young people, co-designing content through participatory processes and using artistic expression to share project results in a more engaging and meaningful way
