Mersin Sport Event Sports Club (Mersin SEV) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 2025 in Mersin, Turkey. Diverging from the traditional sports club model, Mersin SEV positions itself as a hybrid "Sports Enterprise". Our mission is to transform sport from a mere physical activity into a multi-layered industry that drives social inclusion, digital innovation, and active citizenship. Institutional Capacity & Management: Our organization is led by a visionary Board of Directors combining academic backgrounds in sports sciences with strong field experience in corporate management. This professional structure allows us to manage sports not only as a competitive field but as a tool for social benefit, utilizing the discipline and energy represented by our corporate colors, Black and Dark Orange. Strategic Pillars & Activities: Our operational model is built on four innovative pillars that distinguish us in the youth and sports sector: 1. Digital Innovation & SportTech: We are a "Tech-Sport" initiative adapting to the digital future. Unlike traditional clubs, we actively produce digital sports content, design AI-supported training plans, and develop digital products (e.g., tournament templates, e-books) for global marketplaces like Etsy. We aim to increase digital literacy among youth and coaches through these activities. 2. Social Entrepreneurship (Foundation-Like Model): Adopting a "Win-Win" principle, we act as a bridge between corporate sponsors and social needs. We implement inclusive projects in disadvantaged neighborhoods to make sports accessible for everyone, from 7 to 70. 3. Innovative Events & Experience Design: We organize new-generation sports tournaments (e.g., Pickleball, 3x3 Street Basketball, E-Sports) and large-scale festivals that blend sports with entertainment. These events are designed to foster social cohesion and healthy lifestyle habits among diverse groups, including youth, women, and corporate employees. 4. Corporate Solutions (B2B): To ensure financial sustainability, we organize "Corporate Leagues" (Business Cup) and wellness programs for the private sector. This model creates a self-sufficient economic structure, reducing dependency on donations. Logistical Infrastructure & Location: Located in Mersin, a logistics hub and port city, our organization has a significant strategic advantage. Leveraging the legacy of the 2013 Mediterranean Games, we have direct access to Olympic-standard facilities (stadiums, swimming pools, gymnastics halls) through our partnerships with local authorities. Combined with Mersin’s mild climate, this capacity makes us a prime partner for international mobilities, youth camps, and sports tourism projects. Vision: Mersin SEV aims to be a "Game Changer" in the region by building a sustainable, inclusive, and digitally integrated sports culture that aligns with European values and the Erasmus+ priorities.
