Elemento is a Portuguese non-profit association focused on the use of games as educational and social tools. We work with board games, role-playing games, video games and game design to promote learning, youth engagement and community participation. Our activities include educational events, workshops and training for teachers, youth workers and young people, as well as the development of game-based learning methodologies and educational games. We are involved in Erasmus+ projects related to youth, education, mental health and innovation. In our projects we contribute especially to: - Creating, testing and validating games and educational tools - Pilot activities - Workshops and non-formal learning activities - Dissemination and community engagement We collaborate with NGOs, schools, youth organisations and cultural institutions across Portugal, which allows us to involve participants in project activities and testing phases. Although relatively new to European projects, Elemento has already proven to be a reliable and active partner. We have participated as partners in three Erasmus+ projects: - Applied Videogames Summit (KA210-ADU) A project promoting videogames and XR for education and mental health, where we contributed to training activities, game jam and international dissemination events. - GAME – videoGAme to improve Mental hEalth (KA220-SCH) A project developing a 3D educational videogame and online course to address youth mental health, where we supported piloting, educational content and teacher training activities. - MYC – Modeling Youth Centers (KA220-YOU) A project supporting the creation of youth centers across Europe, where we contributed to participatory methodologies, game-based tools and youth engagement strategies.
