ECSET designs and implements activities that combine non-formal learning, community engagement, and practical skill-building. The association’s work includes: o Cultural and sports events, including equestrian-related cultural and sporting activities o Communication activities (podcasts, radio, online publishing, educational materials, marketing campaigns) o Elaboration of project ideas and implementation, including participation in European/international programmes o Environmental and eco-awareness activities o Support for rural development, local producers, traditional crafts, and short supply chains o Support for young entrepreneurs and adult professional development (trainings, workshops, mentoring) o Career orientation and labour-market support (guidance, internships, employment-related events) o Digital innovation and digitalisation (services/processes; innovation events for youth) o Cooperation with institutions and organisations, including schools, universities, NGOs, media and public bodies A key feature of ECSET is its multi-stakeholder approach: programmes are typically developed and delivered in partnership with local and regional actors such as schools and educational institutions, youth-facing organisations, public bodies, professional services, civil society initiatives, and media/community platforms. Through these collaborations, ECSET has built a strong professional network that supports high-quality delivery, access to expert knowledge, and broad outreach to target groups. ECSET operates with a combination of committed core members and an active base of young volunteers who contribute to planning, communication, event logistics, peer-to-peer outreach, and community mobilisation. This volunteer involvement strengthens the organisation’s capacity to deliver youth-friendly formats and ensures that activities remain relevant, accessible and engaging for young participants. Some recent activities include: 1. “Mit kezdjek az életemmel?” (“What should I do with my life?”) – youth-oriented talks & panel discussions “Mit kezdjek az életemmel?” is a youth-focused event series built around open conversations and structured discussions on topics that are highly relevant to young people’s everyday realities and future choices. The series typically uses an interactive format (talk + moderated discussion + Q&A), encouraging participants to reflect, ask questions, and connect personal experiences with practical strategies. Core thematic areas addressed in the series include: o identity, values, and personal direction (“where am I going, what matters to me?”), o mental resilience and self-knowledge, o decision-making and coping with pressure, o risk behaviours and addictions (including pathways to support and help-seeking), o motivation, courage, and personal responsibility in education, work and life choices. The event series is implemented in partnership with invited professionals, speakers, and local stakeholders (e.g., community educators, counsellors, practitioners, or organisations working with youth). ECSET’s professional network makes it possible to involve credible experts and ensure that discussions are grounded in real practice, not only theory. Young volunteers support the outreach, event organisation, participant engagement, and the creation of accessible communication materials that speak to peers in a relatable way. Typical outputs/results include increased awareness on key youth issues, strengthened reflective and communication skills, and a supportive space for dialogue between young participants and professionals. 2. “Nem az a vagányság…” (“It’s not cool…”) – accident-prevention and responsible decision-making campaign “Nem az a vagányság…” is a prevention-focused campaign that addresses accident prevention and responsible choices, with a strong emphasis on youth and risk situations. The campaign prioritises experiential and interactive methods, using real-life scenarios and practical demonstrations to support learning and behavioural change. Key topics covered include: o the impact of alcohol and psychoactive substances on judgement and safety, o risk perception and peer pressure, o safe decision-making in public spaces and traffic contexts, o what to do in emergencies: basic steps and responsible actions until professional help o arrives, o understanding consequences and taking responsibility for one’s own safety and that of others. The campaign is implemented in partnership with a broad professional coalition, bringing together relevant institutional and civil actors (e.g., local/regional services and organisations with expertise in prevention, emergency response, rescue and youth protection). ECSET’s established professional network supports access to expertise, realistic learning scenarios, strong credibility among target groups, and an extended reach across communities. Young volunteers contribute to communication, participant mobilisation, event assistance and peer-level dissemination of key messages.
