IT'S YOUR TIME Academy

IT’S YOUR TIME Academy (IYT) is a French non-profit youth and sports organisation founded in 2016. We support young people aged 16 to 25, particularly those facing social, economic or educational barriers, through sport, non-formal education and international mobility. Our approach uses football as an engagement and educational tool, rather than an end in itself. We combine regular sports activities with educational workshops, personal development, career guidance, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and intercultural learning. Our programmes aim to strengthen autonomy, discipline, self-confidence, leadership, teamwork, communication and employability. We work closely with schools, local youth services, sports clubs, community organisations and European partners. Since 2017, we have organised international learning experiences in several countries, helping young people discover new cultures, challenge stereotypes and develop a stronger sense of European citizenship. Young people are actively involved in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of our projects. We use participatory methods such as action learning, group challenges, role plays, business games, peer learning and Youthpass reflection. A strong focus is placed on inclusion and on enabling young people with fewer opportunities to access experiences they may otherwise consider out of reach. Our ambition is to build long-term European partnerships and develop projects in which young people do not simply participate, but learn to organise, lead, inspire and create a positive impact in their communities. www.itsyourtimefootball.com
