By 'Kultur Aktiv' we mean the principle of actively helping to shape art and culture. Our association sees itself as a civil society actor that offers people diverse opportunities to experience values such as freedom, exchange and dialogue in an artistic-creative as well as democratic way. Through innovative ideas and professional project management, Kultur Aktiv has created new cultural exchanges from Dresden and Saxony to Eastern Europe, networked people and created intercultural and intergenerational togetherness. As an open platform, we offer a tried and tested infrastructure and know-how for committed citizens to implement their own ideas in an international and local environment. Kultur Aktiv was founded in 2002 in Dresden's Neustadt district to promote art and culture. Since then, it has grown into an organisation that knows how to network and present locally as well as regionally and internationally. At the same time, we see our endeavours as a contribution to strengthening civil society and democratic structures and values. Our activities with Eastern Europe offer many points of contact to further develop Dresden's potential as a bridge between East and West. We cooperate, design and organise with many of our partners and thus make an important contribution to a diverse and rich cultural life. This creative play in planning, applying for and implementing projects with changing content, forms of expression and partners is an essential part of our Cooperative Identity. Der Kultur Aktiv e. V. wurde 2002 in Dresden zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur gegründet. Seitdem wurde der Verein zu einer Organisation ausgebaut, die sowohl lokal, als auch regional und international zu vernetzen und zu präsentieren weiß. Die Aktivitäten des Vereins mit Osteuropa bieten viele Anknüpfungspunkte, um das Potenzial Dresdens als Brücke zwischen Ost und West zu stärken. Gleichzeitig sollen die künstlerisch-kreativen Projekte zur Stärkung zivilgesellschaftlicher und demokratischer Strukturen und Werte beitragen. Unter ‚Kultur Aktiv‘ verstehen der Verein das Prinzip, Kunst und Kultur aktiv mitzugestalten. Als soziokultureller Verein bieten er Bürger eine Plattform zur Umsetzung eigener Projektideen. Kultur Aktiv hat durch innovative Ideen und professionelles Projektmanagement von Dresden über Sachsen bis nach Osteuropa neuen Kulturaustausch geschaffen, Menschen vernetzt, sowie interkulturelles und generationenübergreifendes Miteinander geschaffen. Bei der Umsetzung der Aktivitäten kooperieren der Verein mit wechselnden Partnern und Zielgruppen. Hierzu gehören Stadtteilzentren, Osteuropäische Communities in Dresden, freischaffende Künstler oder internationale Partnerorganisationen. Ein wichtiger Aspekt der Arbeit ist die Zusammenarbeit mit Akteuren aus den Partnerstädten Dresdens. Pro Jahr setzt Kultur Aktiv 10 bis 15 Projekte um. Zu den bisher umgesetzten Formaten gehört unter anderem: die Galerie nEUROPA als Ausstellungsraum für zeitgenössische Fotografie, interkulturelle und intergenerative Begegnungstreffen mit Künstlern und lokalen Communities, tschechisch-deutsche Konzerte im Rahmen der Tschechisch-deutschen Kulturtage, Musikfestivals im öffentlichen Raum, internationale Künstlerbegegnungen.
