Mladiinfo ČR has been working for young people to support their personal development and ensure motivation through leisure time activities, active use of free time, non-formal education and informal learning. The organization has been actively involved in several projects supporting youth mobility, volunteering, and intercultural learning, and is actively contributing to the Mladiinfo International Network. Mladiinfo ČR (ČR stands for the Czech Republic) was established in 2011 as a branch of Mladiinfo International network which has a headquarter in North of Macedonia. Our office is in Brno, but we also have members in Prague and other cities. Mladiinfo ČR is a non-governmental organization targeting mostly young people from 15 to 30 years in the Czech Republic. Our mission is to support the personal growth and fulfilling personal potentials of Czech youths. Our goal is to bring opportunities in the field of studying, education, volunteering, internships and travelling to the young people in the Czech Republic and to motivate them to participate. Administration of the webpage www.mladiinfo.cz, organization of events and workshops, participation in Erasmus+ projects, counselling for youths and promotion of various opportunities are our main activities. We promote interesting offers in the field of education, travelling, volunteering and internships, experience and lessons learned of participants of various projects, useful links and articles on our website. We also write and promote "guidebooks" for gathering practical tips and experiences about concrete topics. The web page and related social networks are administrated by a group of volunteers from the whole Czech Republic. The organization is active in the EVS and ESC programme. Since 2012 Mladiinfo participates in EVS projects as a sending and coordinating organization. Since 2015 Mladiinfo also hosts EVS volunteers at the office in Brno. Moreover, we organize presentations, discussions, workshops and information campaigns focusing on the issues studying, volunteering, non-formal education, travelling and internships. We arrange regular traveller’s debates, presentations of our former EVS volunteers, competitions of interesting articles and photographs and screenings, e.g.: - SWAPS – SWAPS of clothes and usual items, because we believe in sharing and reducing the consumption for the sake of the planet. - Conversation (debate) club – debates club, where people practice their English, meet expats and would share their point of view on various topics (ecology, travelling, technology, etc.). - Traveller’s evenings – We are active in sending people abroad for volunteering, and we give them a place where they can share their memories and experience. We are inviting the public for these events because we want to spread the main idea of ESC and Erasmus+ and to increase the awareness of these projects. - Movie nights – We cooperate with the festival “One World” and are projecting one within few weeks’ documentaries related to gender equality, education and human rights. The target group is wide public from Brno, who are informed via Facebook, Instagram, leaflets in popular places in Brno and newsletter. From 2019 Mladiinfo ČR also runs the project Library of Things Brno where the locals can borrow staff for travelling, sport, household or free time. So far, this is one of the major accomplishments, because we are replicating a worldwide concept of such Libraries into our community in Brno. We obtained around 150 items, which can be borrowed on the website knihovnaveci.mladiinfo.cz and then picked up in our office. It is a genius project for how to bring people from different spheres together and engage them for sharing things. It brings a lot of attention to our organization and our activities (upper-mentioned workshops and events) and enables more people to benefit from our activities.
