Sustinea

Sustinea is an association that focuses on sustainable development as an alternative to natural degradation and to satisfy local needs. This initiative arises from the concern about the footprint of humanity in our planet, from the systemic crisis we are living, and seek to address these problems providing solutions, experiences, investigation, dissemination of information and defence of the environment to promote possible and necessary changes, believing that us as humans have lot of power to transform realities. We tie together the relationship of humans with Nature in a sustainable and inclusive model, hence resulting in the name of the association Sustinea. And we do it through numerous and diverse projects, programs, actions of short, medium or long term, being really dynamic and creative. One of our main objectives is to encourage citizen participation and involvement in environmental and social problems, so we offer a huge range of resources, information and environmental activities, with a diverse variety of target groups: from childhood till youth, people in risk of social exclusion, rural women and the community itself, trying to reforce social participation. Our main activities are related with community dinamization, ecosystem restauration, training and support youth, rural development and gender equality. Our behavior is directly based on activism and environmental education, inviting society towards sustainable development. We preserve nature. Our concern for the natural environment and we strive for integration into future projects which stimulates us constantly in our work. We produce reports and support different administrations in order to provide sustainable solutions to the projects undertaken by those. In order to explain the various environmental realities and its causes and effects, we focus on the disclosure of information in simple and engaging ways for different audiences. It is an great challenge that we seek to reach by working hand by hand and recognizing all the power of the people to do it. Definetely, our main goal as association is to provide with tools, capacity and solutions to international youth and to local communities to envolve them into the ecological and social transition that the new societies requires, following the SDG of the Agenda 2030 and according to the principles of the European Solidarity Corps program.
