JM Caprifolen

JM Caprifolen is arranging several activities as a helping tool for social inclusion between Swedish people with or without disabilities and immigrants. JM Caprifolen is located on a horse farm on the Swedish countryside, with weekly training/camps/musical-events/projects throughout the year. We use inclusion methods, using the horse as the main tool and combining it with music, dance, circus, open for all people with or without disabilities. JM Caprifolen has 15 years of experience in this field of work, using Vaulting as a base for the work. JM Caprifolen are also collaborating with the local municipality trying to create a meeting place where focus lies on social inclusion and trying to build individuals and their feeling of belonging. The work JM Caprifolen is doing has developed into many new tools for schools and other organisations. Working close with caprifolen vaulting club (the largest vaulting club in Sweden also located on the farm) we together create sport sessions and competitions. In this close collaboration JM Caprifolen has created new classes for people with disabilities and are the first to start PARA competitions in vaulting in Sweden. We create musicals where we let the young people be part of the creation. Everything from script, music, choreography, scenery and drama etc. JM Caprifolen has developed methods were the horse is used for habilitation and rehab in close cooperation with habilitation center and healthcare. JM Caprifolen works local/regional/national and internationally with performance, lectures, projects, camps, courses, trainings and competitions. The aims and goals for JM Caprifolen is to be a place where all people feel that they can participate in all our activities in their own pace, and own term. The aims are also to spread our methodology and tools that we create to other organisations/municipalities/schools to make a real change and promoting more inclusion in society.
