AGORA Services - Les Grands Larges

AGORA Services aims at the integration, reintegration or maintenance in society of people (young people, adults or elderly) that it supports at stages of their life where they are in more or less severe transition, and carry within them both a fragility and a potential for evolution. Agora Services is, also a Housing & services activity: The residences offer young people from 16-30 years old a set of services that meet the primary demand of the public: accommodation in good conditions at a cost in relation to their means. The material issues related to housing, settling in a new environment, a new city, are however for many of the young people hosted only one aspect of their path towards autonomy. The common objective is to contribute to "the socialization of young people through housing". It is a question of promoting the entry of young people into adult life, by mobilizing and activating various levers which contribute, in a global approach to popular education, to their access to autonomy and their emancipation as citizens. Agora Housing & Services consists of more than 500 housing units in Lorient, Pontivy and Auray (40 employees). "Les Grands Larges", the HO counts just over 80 accommodations. Around 110 young people live in these accommodations and share activities. Residents share spaces, and activities with the adjoining Seniors residence. Our actions are driven by 2 important vocations: sust.development awareness and link between generations.
