ATD Quart Monde Belgique

ATD (All Together in Dignity) Fourth World Belgium is a human rights based non-profit organization, part of a worldwide movement committed to eradicating poverty by empowering those most affected. We operate across Belgium through diverse projects promoting education, access to rights and civic participation. Key activities include street libraries, a youth movement, self-expression through art, the Fourth World People’s University and other advocacy actions with local, national and European Institutions, while ATD’s ‘merging knowledge’ approach leads to innovative and impactful solutions to combat poverty in various fields. We act on the value “leave no one behind” and are keen on building partnerships with other activist groups for intersectional work. ATD Fourth World practices and promotes a sober/simple lifestyle, a participatory governance, and respects high ethical standards on finance and fundraising. In ATD Fourth world’s teams permanent members of ATD’s international volunteer corps and some regular staff collaborate closely with a wide range of supporters of all ages, contributing in their free time: community activists with lived experience of poverty as well as professional allies. Around 30 persons work on a daily basis at/from the main location in Brussels. Together we strive to build inclusive environments where everyone can thrive and contribute positive change to our society.
