Our topics of expertise: - youth participation & structured dialogue - intercultural dialogue and peace-building - security and safety (with climate change mitigation and emergency response readiness) - combating hate speech narratives - eradicating extremism and youth radicalization We aim to strengthen young people’s capacities through skills-building and help them become change-makers and address issues of their local/national importance. We believe that by enhancing their active citizenship, young people are more prone to take part in creating democratic societies by reinforcing solidarity and equality. ARKA was founded in 2016, so we are still a very young organization trying to find ourselves in the broad diapason of youth work. We started the NGO with ideas related to the work our youth workers and volunteers have already experienced, but we have recently decided to expand our scope of work and engage in other field of youth work, especially on the international level. We did not have a chance to collaborate with NGOs from abroad before (except for network with them in international training courses and other events), therefore we have decided to engage in such cooperation through the Erasmus+ programme. Topics we want to explore through partnerships: - youth employment - social inclusion / working with marginalized youth - mental health of young people - media literacy and critical thinking Special mission of our work: To continue promoting the UN Agenda 2030 in local, national and European context through capacity building and youth exchanges within the Erasmus+ programme.
