ART HUB ATHENS

ART HUB ATHENS is an international platform for cultural and creative expression, where artists and activists from around the world are invited to express themselves, address issues and work together as a community to raise public awareness. Its focus is to create a diverse global community that interacts based on will and democracy, to create a strong voice to speak for human and civil rights. ART HUB ATHENS is inspired by the idea that when art is transformed into the public space in unexpected ways, it has the power to reach people across traditional boundaries of class, age, race, and education to encourage public action. It is a dynamic home of artistic production, development and research that stimulates and challenges the professional art environment, while focusing on the dialogue between artists, as well as artists with the outside world. Its purposes are developmental, cultural, educational, research, educational, artistic and charitable in nature, with the aim of contributing to cultural, educational, artistic and social change. ART HUB ATHENS contributes to shaping a generation of young people with an interest in art and action for social change. The purpose of ART HUB ATHENS is to make art accessible to one wider audience, beyond the traditional limitations of class, of age, race and education, making it real democratic and for all, to become a powerful factor of social change. It aims and promotes social awakening, sustainability and human rights through art and culture. It unites its movements with the 17 Global Sustainable Goals Development (Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs) of the UN by participating in the global change effort. The following are its areas of action: ART FOR SOCIAL CHANGE How can art and artists change our world? An extensive cultural and educational program of activities, in the form of exhibitions, workshops, conferences, discussions, mentoring and artist- hosting programs, will contribute significantly to these meetings, enhancing interdisciplinary work, international mobility and intercultural exchange. The aim of the Art for Social Change Project is to imagine an alternative global art ecosystem by rethinking the tools and models of collaboration that work within the existing ones and aligning them with artistic and social innovation and the principles of justice, solidarity, geographical balance and sustainability. Art remains colourless if it remains caged. Culture, as we understand it, goes out and travels the city, descends on the centre of Athens and advocates its timelessness and its value as a living space – a place of fermentation, conflict and exchange of ideas. It defines the future, looks for the energy and defining moment in every corner of the city, encourages talent and energy, introduces people to each other and constantly explores what separates them, what affects them, what is meaningful to them and what will change finally the specific profile of the city. At the same time, he raises his voice, argues, defends and takes a stand for everything that becomes an obstacle to freedom, democracy, and life. From the centre of Athens, the message travels. The local becomes global and the global local. 2. Exhibition/ Events Planning, organizing and producing exhibitions and cultural events in Greece and abroad where our artists will be able to present their work to the public and get in touch with other artists. Educational program Design, organization and implementation of seminars, conferences, workshops and educational programs introducing our beneficiaries to a valuable form of non-formal education with the aim of their continuous development.
