Salıpazarı Gençlik ve Spor İlçe Müdürlüğü

The Salipazarı District Youth and Sports Directorate is a public institution operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey. Established in 2012, it has participated in Erasmus+ projects since 2024. The Directorate is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of youth and sports policies at the local level, focusing particularly on empowering young people aged 7-30 through non-formal education, youth work, volunteering, and sports-based activities. The institution actively supports the personal, social, and civic development of young people by providing safe spaces, guidance, and participation opportunities. It places great emphasis on social inclusion, equal opportunities, and the participation of underprivileged youth, including those living in rural areas, socio-economically disadvantaged youth, and those with limited access to international mobility opportunities. The Salipazarı District Youth and Sports Directorate has experience in designing and implementing local, national, and international youth projects within the framework of Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps. Its activities aim to promote active citizenship, democratic participation, solidarity, healthy lifestyles, intercultural dialogue, and European values. The institution works closely with youth workers, young volunteers, schools, NGOs, municipalities, and other public bodies to ensure a participatory and multi-stakeholder approach. The Directorate has the ability to organize, coordinate, and support youth exchanges, youth participation activities, volunteer projects, job observation and study visits for youth workers, and capacity-building initiatives. It is committed to providing quality learning experiences, mentoring, and follow-up activities that deliver sustainable impact at the local level.
