"Social Participation and Assistance Center for Equality" (SPACE)

“Social Participation and Assistance Center for Equality” NGO is a disability community based organization. It was founded on 22nd of May, 2012 through joint efforts of people with and without disability. Vision Contribute to the development of civil society in Armenia where each person with disabilities will feel him/herself a full member of the society. Mission Contribute to the integration of people with disabilities into society emphasizing the correct perception of the phenomenon “disability” by the large society, to the acceptance of person with disability as an equal by the society, to provision with socio-psychological, legal, technical assistance, to advocate for rights of people with disabilities and to provision with employment. Aims:  contribute to establishment of democracy and civil society in Armenia by promoting integration of people with disabilities into society,  ensure legal protection of people with disabilities,  advocate for equity, social justice and human rights protection in society,  contribute to educational and capacity building of people with disabilities,  promote the compatibility of people with disabilities to employment market,  provide social-psychological, legal and technical assistance to people with disabilities,  promote the acceptance of people with disabilities as a full member of society,  develop the correct perception of phenomenon “disability”
