EFEM AKDENIZ YOUTH AND SPORT CLUB ASSOCIATION

Efem Akdeniz Youth and Sport Club Association, which has 130 members, gives its members occasion for making activities in their free times. In addition to presenting Turkish folklore and Turkish traditional folk music to the youth members, our association aims to adopt the national values, cultural presences, civil rights and citizenship duties. It makes the members become conscious about the environmental problems and protection of nature and takes part in member's life for their becoming social persons. With its workshops, it encourages the persons who are physically and mentally disabled in social activities and brings them in to the society. In that aim, we co-operate with the organisations of domestic and abroad. We have a workspace in which we and our members teach table tennis, scouting, swimming, dance, chess, musical instruments and handcrafts. As being a civil association, we try to contribute their thoughts in being productive and creative. The basic components of our philosophy are respect, democratic, tolerance and self confidence..
