The Kultur & Art Initiative develop and implement art and culture projects. is a celebration of diversity, inclusion and togetherness. We especially encourage submissions on inclusivity and accessibility. Kultur & Art Initiative has members from different nations, age groups and with different careers who have got work experiences in media production, Music, Dance & new media education for many years. Our aim is to produce projects with people from different origins. Our concept is based on the contents of social and intercultural integration. We want to work against passive culture consumption with active culture work. That is why we offer participants of our events creative and project-orientated opportunities. We also offer young people and youth workers barrier free workshops, training and youth exchanges. The offers are at no charge and are suitable for everyone who is interested. Our office is in Detmold, by the culture factory Hangar 21 in Detmold. We have KA150 Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps accreditations. Quality Label: 2021-1-DE04-ESC50-QLA- Erasmus accreditation in Youth: 2022-1-DE04-KA150-YOU- European Solidarity Corps: 2019-1-DE04-ESC52-QLA-018894-01 In the last years, Kultur und Art Initiative e.V. implemented 100 projects in the framework of the EU Programm and many different EU projects as Promotion of the Civil Society Dialogue, Civil Society Facility, Intercultural Dialogue Culture and Arts (ICD-CA) or Youth Initiatives for Dialogue. Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects and Many different projects abroad gave us knowledge and experiences. Moreover, we developed strong experience, knowledge and skills in the Educational and European field where we are constantly updated about the European Union policies and programs to act as multipliers. In this way we developed the capacity to manage, host and implement another ambitious and complex training. We are strengthening our competences in fostering local wellbeing through formal and non-formal education helping local grassroots organizations and to create a link with the European level, starting a fruitful cooperation both with EU and extra EU Countries. In this way we are also developing the competencies in working with grassroots level organizations to strengthen their skills to lead an important role in the present and future of the local community in connections with others at European level. This is one of the projects in which have experienced that the production of videos related to the activities is a very effective tool to foster cooperation and exchange among the organizations involved, because they can communicate and share their products also through the online platform and social network, to be updated about project progress and gain new inputs. Kultur und Art Initiative e.V. Facilitators and trainers are involved also in the events of the international and national projects where participants are also adults and experts in education. We want to realize concrete actions for young people developing entrepreneurship, promoting mobility and training and helping them to have direct s with the labour market and the placement sectors, e.g organizing workshops on how to valorize, develop and mobilize their competences. But we are also doing creative projects and new media workshops with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants on a national and international level. One of our ongoing projects now is language courses for the refugees from Syria, Eritrea and Afghanistan. We organise since 2005 the Barrier-free International Short Film Festival Detmold. The International Short Film Festival Detmold is an annual event taking place in the beautiful town of Detmold, showcasing a variety of high-quality short films from around the globe. Every year, we receive more than 3,000 short film submissions from experienced, as well as up-and-coming filmmakers. The festival focuses on non-commercial short films: documentaries, animations, fiction, art-house, music videos, experimental films, etc. We especially encourage submissions on inclusivity and accessibility. Everyone has the right to participate in cultural life. That is our big reason, our mission. We are screening barrier-free film blocks for all visitors with hearing or vision impairments. Audio descriptions, sign-language translation and subtitles make it possible for people with special needs to enjoy short films together with their loved ones and new friends they make during the festival. The festival venue is accessible to everyone. The ISFF Detmold is a celebration of diversity, inclusion and togetherness. The ISFF Detmold takes place both online and on site. This year the festival is held again at three different locations. We cooperate with Lebenshilfe Detmold e.v., North Rhine-Westphalia, the culture team of City of Detmold, LWL, Federal Foreign Office, the Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, local radio communication and television and some other local associations. Our association provides offers for extracurricular youth work, including media educational advice, performances, support doing projects and getting ideas.
