CULTHEATER- Culture and Theater Research Association About Us Culture and Theater Research Association (CULTHEATER) is a non-profit, independent and democratic youth organization focusing on social problems of youth, art and society, cultural dialogue, performing & visual arts, drama practices, developing workshop tools and supporting youth through artistic methods to take active roles in local and international activities. CULTHEATER was found in July 2017 in ISTANBUL, by experienced NGO employees, youth workers, researchers, trainers, directors, writers and actors/actresses. Mission CULTHEATER supports the academic research on culture, art, and society and building partnerships among local and international groups and institutions through the borderless language of art. Its main concerns are supporting young people to improve their social, cultural and artistic skills, connecting people in youth and art fields and developing tools for cultural dialogues, social inclusion, improving the relation of art and society. For these purposes, CULTHEATER works on: Academic research on art, youth, and society Local and international workshops, seminars, training courses Building partnerships for local and international programs like Erasmus+, European Commission Projects, United Nations Programs etc. Realizing performing and visual arts productions Supporting youth with fewer opportunities to encourage tolerance, solidarity, and social dialogue Increasing performing and visual art literacy Creating opportunities for disadvantaged youth groups to reach artistic productions Vision CULTHEATER follows the 27th article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which declares, “Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.” CULTHEATER proclaims that the organization defends a dynamic, diversified and sustainable cultural field and encourages young people to take active roles in society through academic research and artistic practices.
