Municipality of Trappeto is a town of Sicily of 3200 inhabitants. It is part of the metropolitan area of Palermo, it is located on the western coast of Sicily and it faces the Tyrrhenian Sea. We are the administrators of the Municipality of Trappeto and we want to increase the cultural level of our fellow citizens. We are open to any kind of cooperation in any cultural artistic sector. Our little town offers a beautiful and spectacular landscape and an enviable view over the Sicilian sea and Gulf of Castellammare. In our area there are numerous monuments that we intend to promote and enhance. Municipality of Trappeto is famous for the work of activist, Danilo Dolci, italian social activist, sociologist, popular educator, cultural writer and poeta. Danilo Dolci has been proposed for the Nobel Peace Prize. The town manages an important cultural heritage that ranges from more than 150 goods identity surveyed by Region Sicily at the Ethno-anthropological and Sea Museum. Municipality of Trappeto manages many laboratories creative arts, graphic arts, theatre, dance, music painting, drawing, graphic arts, photography, sculpture, design, architecture, digital arts, film, video, decorative art and street art (murals). The town manages different location for events, expositions and convention. We are interested in cooperation projects, cultural exchanges, twinnings and artist-in-residence programs. The town offers residency opportunities exist to invite artists, academicians, curators, and all manner of creative people for a time and space away from their usual environment. Trappeto is famous for beautiful sunsets overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, which inspired many local artists. In the town there are many artists and artistic-cultural associations, engaged in a process of development and promotion which covers the areas of identity of Sicily Region. Municipality of Trappeto is famous for the carnival of Trappeto. Among its features is the parade of allegorical and inflorate wagons.
