Organization "I Have an Idea" (Kraljevo, Serbia) was founded in 2006 as a non-profit association working with children and youth. Since then, the organization has become recognizable in local community by projects dealing with youth issues in our social environment. The mission of the organization is to strengthen the position of children and young people in the local environment, from the aspect of their informal educational and creative development, in order to raise the quality of the social and cultural life of this sensitive part of the population and to encourage their participation in the public life of the community. The basic starting point are equal opportunities for young people. The main topics we are dealing with are children's rights, interculturality, overcoming prejudice and stereotypes, cultivating diversity, gender equality, anti-discrimination, non-violent communication ... The most common forms of work used in the organization's practice are workshops, forums, public actions. Some of the more important projects is the nine-year network project "Living Together", implemented by the NGO I in cooperation with seven other cities in Serbia, with the financial support of the Swiss Pestalozzi Foundation, as well as Youth Lens I and II, aimed at fostering activism in young people. We also need to mention the MATRA project, aimed at informal education of children in early growth and development, which we implemented in cooperation with the Dutch Foundation International Child Development Initiatives. Since 2012, we have implemented a nine-year project titled "Child Rights Education" at the Swiss Pestalozzi Foundation in six cities in Serbia. Organization „I have an idea“ is often engaged in diverse activities in cooperation with social institutions in Kraljevo (primary and secondary schools, library, museum, cultural center...), creating examples of good practice in intersectoral cooperation. Within the organization there is also a Youth Club, composed of high school students, engaged in various projects and activities, and who have completed numerous educational and training courses in various fields (intercultural education, team work, non-violent communication, project writing ...). Professional staff of the organization are associates of various professional profiles, from pedagogues, psychologists and educators, to artists and youth activists.
