Ithaca Travel Community

This informal group of youth consists of young local people, international students and expats, united with an idea of intercultural learning and foreign language practice. It is based in Athens, so we emphasize in learning Greek culture through non-touristic trips, hiking, discussion clubs and local food tasting. The intercultural exchange takes place during informal communication and special events. The travel community is an opposite to tourist service. We organize free tours to unusual and unexplored spots of Athens, intercultural evenings with traditional food and an international discussion club that any traveler can join. Also we are starting to involve teenagers to our activities, for instance from refugee shelters and local migrant communities.
