Association "Apskritasis stalas"

Youth association in Šilalė "Apskritasis stalas" (“Round table”) unite the NG/non-profit youth organizations in the Šilalė district, help them to develop and spread the information about their activities and politics, strengthen cooperation among them and encourage activities in the area, represent and protect their interests in the local authorities, model youth politics, organize the events, take part in the projects/programs organized by other youth organizations, develop, maintain and make new contacts with new and existing organizations. Throughout 10 years of development several generations have changed and the current office with other volunteers is prepared and wants to open the door to the wide world. An informal youth group is working along with “Apskritasis stalas”. Our aim is to spread information about Erasmus+ opportunities (as well as EVS), make partnerships, participate in YE and get funded our own youth exchange project. As our association is uniting other organizations, here is the list (with short summaries) of them: Youth centre is a place where youth can gather. More attention is paid to young people with less opportunities and passive lifestyle. Arts school is an institution providing extra-curricular activities in art sphere. The school’s students are able to learn to play different kinds of instruments, improve their painting skills as well as dancing. Person can show oneself skills while participating in a big variety of events or competitions at local or international levels. The Lithuanian Catholic Federation "Ateitis" is a youth organization in Lithuania uniting Catholic-minded schoolchildren, university students, and alumni. There are 3 troops in our district: • Šilalės šv. Pranciškaus parapijos ateitininkai (the middle school students) • Šilalės Jono Pauliaus antrojo kuopa (the high school students) • Kaltinėnų šv. Jono Krikštytojo ateitininkų kuopa (students from Kaltinėnai) Lithuanian Scouting (Lietuvos skautija) is organisation, open to all residents of Lithuania, regardless of race, nationality, religion, gender, or social circumstances. As an organisation engaged in non-formal education, LS seeks to help young people reach their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potential, and become responsible citizens of their local, national, and international communities. There are 4 troops in our district: • Šilalės Simono Gaudėšiaus gimnazijos draugovė (the high school students) • Šilalės Dariaus ir Girėno draugovė (the middle school students) • Laukuvos Norberto Vėliaus gimnazijos draugovė (students from Laukuva) • Obelyno draugovė (students from Obelynas) Young riflemen are a paramilitary non-profit organization supported by the State. The activities are in three main areas: military training, sport and culture. There are 3 troops in our district: • 7-os šaulių rinktinės 10 kuopos Pajūrio jaunieji šauliai ( students from Pajūris) • LDK Kęstučio šaulių 7-osios rinkrinės Šilalės S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno 3-oji kuopa 2 būrys (students from Šilalė) • Laukuvos jaunųjų šaulių 2 atskirasis būrys (students from Laukuva) VŠĮ “Etnoklubas” is a NGO gathering all young people who like folk dances, entertaining ancient Lithuanian games, songs and wants to appreciate their culture and learn about it. Dance studio “Salto” is a place for enthusiastic people who want to fell in love with dancing world. At the moment there are around 50 dancers who are divided into groups: elementary school pupils, teenagers and youth.
