Eurobug Lithuania Association

Our mission is to support integration and to provide non-formal education programs for young people in general and those with fewer opportunities, that are experiencing economic exclusion, coming from rural areas, and ethnic minority groups. We believe that engagement in non-formal education activities empowers young people, and is one of the key focus areas of Eurobug Lithuania. We value the voice of youth in today’s society as believe they have the energy to become the change makers in local communities. We also value the impact of international youth work collaborations, as it brings enormous changes to lives of young Europeans. We believe that connecting people from different countries and diverse backgrounds can become an ‘eye opening’ experience to any young person, but particularly to those with fewer opportunities, and those that are experiencing social exclusion. Intercultural learning not only changes lives of young people, but also contributes to challenging the ‘old norms’ rutted in our society, also promotes diversity and highlights the values of diversity. Therefore, the key areas/ topics that Eurobug Lithuania is focusing on are: - Non-Formal Education - Human Rights Education - Active citizenship Our supporter and sister organisation is Eurobug, Youth Work Training and Collaboration Limited in Ireland. They proved on-going consultations, guidelines and trainings. We have access to their international network of organisations and their social media channels.
