Aurive social cooperative

The Social Cooperative Aurive started in 2007 as an entity to manage the National Community Service projects in the two provinces of Novara and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (Piedmont region, Italy). Aurive social cooperative mainly works with unemployed people, immigrants and disdvantaged groups aged under 30 years old, and with the aim of helping them to improve some of the basic skills needed to enter and remain in the labour market and to actively take part to their local community lives. We usually cooperate with some public bodies to promote some youth policies projects in the following fields: -Promoting youth volunteering and active citizenship: Aurive focuses its activities on youth participation as a tool for active citizenship and social inclusion. -Intercultural education/European citizenship: We also activate some european citizenship projects, mainly with the support of the Youth in Action program such as seminars, events, building meetings, youth exchanges addressed to youth interested in art and culture. We also organize some projects using ICT as a tool to promote the social inclusion of disadvantaged youngsters (youth team are supported n realizing some multimedia products (video, Qr codes, smartphone applications). -Promoting rural development and sustainability: we actively involve youngsters in preserving and promoting their cultural and historic heritage by means of information technologies and cross-national approaches. Some of these themes have a strong importance in Europe, reflecting the Europe for citizen Program and in particular certain points of the Annual priorities for 2012. -Media education: we cooperate with some youth informal groups, cultural and youth associations to promote some trainings.
