Bokra Sawa

Bokra Sawa, literally "tomorrow together" in Arabic, is a Euro-Mediterranean association based in Marseille, with a multicultural team of 7 active members. Our main objective is regional youth and we work on topics that directly concern them, through a socio-cultural and artistic approach. Indeed, we believe that youth is the first key resource to invest to observe a sustainable evolution of our different societies. As a result, our main focus is non-formal education to help young people acquire essential skills, thus contributing to their personal development, encouraging them to become active citizens, thus improving their employability and eventually meeting their needs. Our goal is to provide Mediterranean youth with new ways to reflect and discuss the world in which we live, and to provide them with the appropriate tools to express their ideas. Bokra Sawa uses the creative tools of non-formal education that include elements of art, culture and science with emphasis on specific actions such as exchange workshops, conferences, meetings or design educational tools. Our projects have been developed in cooperation with other Mediterranean countries. At the national level, we have worked in partnership with the city government, the central library and local schools and we are trying to work in close collaboration with the different Arab communities in Marseille, especially young people who have fewer opportunities especially because of their origins.
