Our goal is to: • Develop the creative potential of the youth • Support youth initiatives in various fields • Create the conditions for the active participation of young people in the social, economic and cultural life of society • Introduce non-formal learning methods to participants • Encourage young people to have conversations with people from different cultural backgrounds • Develop the international youth cooperation, to cooperate with foreign youth organizations • Raise awareness about important topics such as active citizenship, animal rights, entrepreneurship, environment, equality, human rights, integration, intercultural dialog, sustainable development, women rights Since Humble Bee for Youth is a new youth group, it has no activities or experience. However, we host a weekly online speaking club event attended by people all around the globe during which we discuss various topics such as active citizenship, animal rights, entrepreneurship, environment, equality, human rights, integration, intercultural dialog, sustainable development, women rights, etc. This has allowed us to learn how to organize events, make people feel involved, communicate effectively, motivate people. It also helped us improve our interpersonal, active listening and problem solving skills. -Fatma Yılmaz, Leader Last year architecture student at Nuh Naci Yazgan University, Kayseri, Turkey. In high school (Doga Collage), I was a member of the student council and I received the honoured president title during the summit conference. This experience made me a young entrepreneur and a leader. I have always been interested in studying the variations in cultures from the different countries. I believe that my Erasmus studying in Hungary helped me realize how mentalities vary from country to country. This exchange has changed the way I see things, and it made me realize how important it is that people come together and share their ideas, I truly think that we can learn from one another and benefit from sharing and being open with people. During my various group projects in university life, I've had the opportunity to work on my leadership and communication skills. They have also taught me how to keep a group motivated and reach a common goal. I am currently volunteering at AIESEC (a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential), TEMA (NGO for reforestation and the protection of natural habitats in Turkey), LÖSEV (Leukemia Children's Health and Education Foundation is a charity that helps children with leukemia), Genç Gönüllüler (a youth project) and Greenpeace. -Ahmet Ege Aguş 20 years old Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineer student in İstanbul Technical University. I was mostly in Crisis Committee and I received Best Delegate award twice. I also volunteered for two years at the charity association called Istanbul Youth Platform (İstanbul Gençlik Platformu) in projects carried out to eliminate the inequality of opportunity for children with poor socio-economic conditions. After that I started the University and working at the same time. I worked as a sales staff in 6:45 Publishing House for one year. I helped many operational jobs throughout this process and at the end of a road I was promoted to operations manager. Currently, I am in charge of the printing process, supply chain, customer service, social media management, website management and digital marketing. I am currently working as a software developer for the garage computer alongside my job and school at the publishing house. With our e-commerce website called Shopimia, we produce e-commerce solutions tailored to individuals and brands. In addition, I do digital marketing and performance marketing for both Shopimia customers and freelance customers with the information I have acquired in Google digital workshop and various digital marketing courses. Being hardworking and disciplined enables me to be in such various fields and be successful at the same time. One of the biggest reasons why I have been given these jobs thanks to the good human relations and the networks that I have provided is that I am someone who breaks the heritage. My biggest dream is to explore Europe, do useful things there and learn more. -Elif Topgül I am a senior interpreting and translation student (in Marmara University, Istanbul) who excels in international communication and cultural awareness.
