DRUKKER Community Letterpress

The main profile of our association, the Műintézet Cultural Association is the operation of our community workshop DRUKKER. We are a community of graphic design, sculpture, photography students, teachers, cultural professionals, volunteers and we successfully collaborate with other local and national NGOs in different fields of activism such as housing, homeless care, LGBTQI+ organisations, community development, as well as with art education institutions in Hungary. We organise small pop-up exhibitions in Pécs and Budapest, workshops, comic book and artzine making courses and fairs on the themes of printmaking, social engaged illustration.DRUKKER aims to preserve the traditions of the primaking heritage in Pécs, to practice, demonstrate and teach traditional printing techniques, and to support self-organising graphic design and art activities that create new forms. Our target group is young artists and young people with a desire for creative development and experimentation in the field of printmaking. We are open to participating in creative, socially engaged projects, non-formal education projects, training and youth exchanges.
