Institute for European Integration (here in after IEI) was an idea of youth activists to formalize their efforts regarding the European Integration process. Since its founding, the organization has worked to promote the best European values and youth policies through different projects and activities at local and national level. Its field of activity includes: research, designing and implementation of various projects and activities such as: youth exchanges, trainings, seminars, conferences, info-sessions in: European values and active citizenship, entrepreneurship, healthy lifestyle, women rights, diversity, social inclusion, youth policies and free media. IEI works for and with youth, coming from different backgrounds: minorities marginalized people as well as has a strong collaboration with informal and formal groups of civil society in Albania and abroad, media, local and national governmental unit representatives. It is member of Youth Organisations Network, together with 7 other organisations which collaborate together in sharing expertise and implementing projects. Some of the most successful ones are: 1. Strengthening volunteering spirit of youth in the city of Burrel, project founded by CAD Albania; 2. Promoting healthy lifestyle free of substance abuse among youth of Tirana, project founded by NCEM Albania; 3. Promoting European values and active citizenship, project founded by Optimum Center, Albania. 4. "Increasing the capacities of the civil society in the city of Berat" project funded by the Agency for Civil Society Support The organization structure consists of: the executive director, board of directors, administration and volunteers. The organization activity is structured in four departments: Department of Youth, Department of Social and Economic Development, Department of Culture and Art. Administration consists of three employed staff full and part-time experienced in research, financial assistance, project coordination and management in social field. Many volunteers (15-30 years old) are engaged in organization activities, such as trainings, youth exchanges, seminars, conferences and info-sessions.
