Biancofango

BIANCOFANGO has been founded in 2005 after the meeting between Francesca Macrì and Andrea Trapani. In 2006, it starts the realization of the Ineptitude Trilogy: ON TIPTOE (2006), THE SHOULDER PUSH (2007), an original dramaturgy freely inspired by one of the "Memories of the subsoil" by F. Dostoevskij, and FRAGILE SHOW (2009), an original dramaturgy freely inspired by T. Bernhard's "The Unsuccessful". The entire trilogy circulated and keeps on circulating in Italy and abroad (Latin America, Spain, Austria) and, in October 2011, the dramaturgies were published by the Titivillus publishing house. In May 2012, at the Palladium theatre in Rome, within the “Teatri di Vetro” exhibition, the new show, FUCKING CRUEL WORLD, produced by the Corte Ospitale of Rubiera and Officina 1011 of Triangolo Scaleno Theatre, makes its debut. From July to December 2012, Biancofango takes part at the Perdutamente project, promoted by the Theatre of Rome and launches a scenic and dramaturgical work with teenagers of some schools of Rome culminating in the study: RUBBER ASS / or the loss of the Fathers. The artistic and pedagogical project with teenagers continues in 2014, in cooperation with the Theatre of Rome, with the show ROMEO AND JULIET or the loss of the Fathers | rehearsal of sports dramaturgy with teenagers, with the construction of a company of professional actors, in the roles of adults characters of the Shakespearean text, and teenagers in the roles of the young ones. The show makes its debut in December 2014 at the India theatre in Rome. In July 2014, it made its international premiere in Spain (at the Classical Theatre Festival of Almagro), with HAMLET, a special project created through the union of artists with heterogeneous paths and experiences (Andrea Baracco | Biancofango | Luca Brinchi and Roberta Zanardo - Santasangre). In Italy, the shows debuts in September 2014 at the Teatro Argentina in Rome, within the Romaeuropa Festival. In while the circuit of all its shows continues (Hamlet in Latin America – Fucking cruel World, Fragile show and On tiptoe in Italy) a new project begins: I HAVE NO HANDS THAT CARESS THE FACE, produced by Teatro dell'Elfo, Fattore K and Teatro della Tosse: after a preview at the Romaeuropa Festival 2017 it debuted at the Teatro Elfo Puccini in Milan. In the meantime, the project to investigate the anomalous construction of a company composed by teenagers and professional actors starting from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet text becomes a special project at a local and national level. Until 2021 the company will carry out a series of stages of the project throughout Italy (to date: in Rome with the Theatre of Rome, in Naples with the Teatro Bellini, in Nuoro with the Teatro della Sardegna, in Catania with the Teatro Stabile di Catania, but there are still others to be defined). In , teenagers from all over Italy, who took part in the project, will meet together in a large and unique show always inspired by the Shakespearean text, accompanied by an orchestra and professional actors. In 2019, the trilogy dedicated to cursed poets begins. The first step THE CURSED POETS_n.1 Baudelaire and I | Who wants to live forever? debuted at the Theatre of Rome in November 2019 (after the stages at Teatri della Cupa and Contemporanea Festival). In 2020 Biancofango debuted at the Venice Biennale with ABOUT LOLITA, produced by the Teatro Metastasio in Prato and Fattore K, in cooperation with Twain-residences for live entertainment.
