Oxigeno Laboratorio Culturale

Oxígeno Laboratorio Culturale is a non-profit organization that develops educational and artistic projects in the suburbs of Melilla (Spain) working with children and young people, and working in prisons and with migrants. From 2021 we are also working in Rome (Italy). We develop projects that mix social action, art and education as tools for social transformation and integration of the city's periphery. Through a participatory methodology we work with young people living in suburbs. On the other hand, we have been working for years in the prison and in Migrants camps. We do artistic interventions in public spaces, as well as workshops and artistic laboratories that seek to increase the visibility and social transformation of the groups and their environment, relying on a universal language, art, and with the active involvement of citizens. Our mission is the promotion of cultural actions, the objective of our actions is to seek a possible integration between the different parts of the city: the center and the periphery. We work in search of meeting points between the cultures and groups that live in Europe.
