General description of the organization Culture and Prosperity s.c.e. is a Social Enterprise founded by a group of people in December 2013 based in Krestena, Municipality of Andritsaina – Krestena, Regional Unit of Ilia, who envisioned a cooperative that will have the ability to manage and utilize national and international experience to become a core of development for the benefit of society. Our values are based on daily effort, to create relationships between members and maintain balances, applying and respecting the democratic decision-making system, according to the principle: one member - one vote, regardless of the contribution of each member. We are constantly evaluated under a strict system of criteria that we have set and accepted all members, based on our professional qualities, as to the effectiveness of our individual actions. In addition, we seek to support each other both morally and professionally in order to achieve the needs of the collective. The specialized specialties and skills of the members differ from each other and therefore manage to address different sectors such as: education, culture, sports, tourism and agriculture. In addition, they constitute the main pillar of support of all activities, contribute to the strengthening, expansion and development of the activities of Culture and Prosperity s.c.e. in the local community, to the participation in Networks and Development Partnerships at Local, Regional, National and European level as well as to the cooperation with public sector bodies. Through a general framework of actions, provision of services and initiatives in the fields of Education, Culture, Tourism, Sports and the Agri-Food Sector, the Agency has formulated a strategic plan which includes, management and operation of infrastructure, mobility with participations in Partnerships and Networks, participation by submitting proposals and action plans in National and European Programs, Organization of Cultural and Artistic Events, collaborations with local authorities, while at the headquarters of the Organization operates the Music Workshop in the context of supporting Children's Music, the Central Knowledge Transfer (HUB) in the context of the operation of a knowledge and know-how transfer hub operating since 2020 and the operation of a Lending Library. A few words about our region... Krestena is a small town at a focal point of mountainous Ilia. It has close to it a number of important places, Ancient Olympia, the Temple of Apollo Epicurius, Lake Kaiafas, the capital of the prefecture, Pyrgos, and of course the beautiful Ionian Sea that spreads just fifteen minutes away. Its location explains that even today it is a large village. For several decades its population reached 5,000, but unfortunately today, especially after the devastating fires of 2007, it barely reaches 2,000. The most likely version of the name of the place connects it with the name "Chrestena" or "Christina" of a princess during the Venetian occupation or the daughter of a local lord. Island of Samos In the summer of 2022, the 1st branch operates in Mesaio Karlovasi of the Municipality of Western Samos for the activity Plaster Casting Workshop which is an experiential experience for any visitor interested in getting to know in a simple and pleasant way, the use of plaster in Greek architecture and the decoration of buildings. It is based on with the material and the creativity that the participants will experience. Also, the historical reference to the application of plaster in the mansions and neoclassical buildings of Samos, through audiovisual documents, as well as the knowledge about the stages of processing and production of the material, are an exciting experience! The Gypsum Workshop started in Samos (a branch of Culture and Prosperity s.c.e.) and utilized, through the transfer of know-how in the processing of gypsum, traditional methods that are passed down from generation to generation. With a course that records over 45 years of experience in gypsum processing and interior design, it manages to survive and find a common point of reference today. The adaptation of tradition, to the innovations of the time and the rapid development of technology, is carried out through education and the transfer of knowledge in order to have its continuity and preservation. As continuers (Culture and Prosperity s.c.e.) of this tradition, respecting the history of the Plaster Casting Workshop in Samos, we create molds in our workshop that will enrich the innovative educational program of the Plaster Casting Workshop. Structure Management - Development Strategy. The strategy for the development, management of the structures and other actions managed, operated and implemented by Culture and Prosperity sce focuses on the Principles of Social Innovation, Creative Industry and Social Entrepreneurship so that through initiatives to achieve, as a whole, qualitative and social results. The structures of the company have been structured to support School Visits, organized field trips, seminars for children and adults as well as future collaborations for the implementation of Mobility Projects within the framework of Erasmus Plus.
