Liceo Scientifico Statale "E. MAJORANA" – Italy: established in 1975/76, has about 1400 students divided into 64 classes. It is situated in an agricultural and industrial region, 70 km south of Rome, the Italian capital city. A strong drive towards educational innovation characterizes the story of the school: it is the school in the province of Latina with the oldest-established experimental tradition. The varied curriculum allows pupils to make choices adherent to their personal vocations and to the demands for training required by the labor market: it consists of a scientific course with an option of applied sciences, characterized by the strengthening of the drawing, a scientific and logical-mathematical course, characterized by the enhancement of math and aimed at promoting logic skills and abstraction, at codifying and formulating languages, processes and procedures. There is also a linguistic course internationally oriented since we are Cambridge center and an EsaBac course. In the afternoon many students can attend courses for language certifications in Spanish, French, German and of course English. We also have courses of Japanese and Arabic. To help foreign students learn Italian we teach Italian as a second language to them.
