Generation (Change?)

. Generation (Change?) VO/2049 is a Youth Work NGO that focuses on working with young people from all backgrounds between the ages of 13-30, we carry out non-formal activities and sessions that focus on the holistic development of the young people we work with, specifically, personal, social and political development. Mission statement states that we are : Creating a platform for young people to find their voice, express themselves and unite against injustice and inequality within the community and beyond. We do this by running a youth hub, on a voluntary basis, this project provides a dedicated space for young people to engage in constructive activities, such as workshops, sports and art activities, reducing the likelihood of them engaging in risky behaviors, by providing alternatives to negative activities. The project can help reduce crime rates in the community. An important aspect of the youth hub is to encourage dialogue and active participation of the young people with their local communities and as such emphasis is put on taking part in different community events and activities. Generation (Change?) understands the importance of young people being able to confidently use their voices to enact positive social change throughout society. That is why, as an organisation, heavy emphasis is put on using non-formal and project-based learning in the community as a means to work with young people from different backgrounds to develop their personal and professional skills.
