Šegrtsko srce (Apprentice’s Heart) is a humanitarian and youth organisation based in Koprivnica, Croatia. Founded in 2014 by teachers and students of the Vocational School Koprivnica (Obrtnička škola Koprivnica), the organisation has since grown into a dedicated and independent NGO focused on youth empowerment, social inclusion, and community well-being. Šegrtsko srce primarily supports young people from low-income, Roma, and other marginalised backgrounds who face barriers to education, mobility, and personal development. Through humanitarian aid and non-formal education, we create opportunities for dignity, belonging, and growth. Our activities include donations of essential materials, community projects, creative workshops, and well-being initiatives that strengthen both individual resilience and local solidarity. In addition to youth-focused work, Šegrtsko srce is supported by a strong team of adult volunteers, including certified teachers, school counselors, and experienced youth workers, many of whom bring years of professional engagement in both formal and non-formal educational settings. They contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality, inclusive learning experiences—especially for young people who are often underrepresented in traditional exchange programmes. We welcome partnerships within Erasmus+ (Youth KA1/KA2) and the European Solidarity Corps, particularly in projects that support: Social inclusion and equity Youth participation and empowerment Emotional literacy, well-being, and resilience Sustainability and community-based action Training and peer learning for youth workers and educators Our focus is on non-formal, community-rooted learning that combines humanitarian values with creative, youth-led engagement. We believe in building bridges—between backgrounds, generations, and perspectives—through shared experiences, practical solidarity, and inclusive educational practices. If you are looking for a reliable, heart-driven partner for meaningful Erasmus+ collaboration, we would be glad to connect.
