Association HOME FOR EMPOWERING THE YOUTH Skopje

Home for Empowering the Youth (HEY) is a youth-led NGO based in Skopje, North Macedonia, founded by young people with backgrounds in youth work, volunteering, non-formal education and international youth activities. We create spaces where young people can meet, learn, exchange ideas and get involved. Our activities include workshops, discussions, community events and non-formal learning activities around youth participation, active citizenship, soft skills, digital competences, social inclusion, wellbeing and intercultural learning. HEY is also active in the Erasmus+ community. Our team and members have participated in and supported Youth Exchanges, Training Courses and other international learning activities, giving us experience with participant preparation, international cooperation and bringing the learning back into our local community. We mainly work with young people aged 18–30 from Skopje and North Macedonia. We particularly enjoy projects that are practical, creative and give participants space to actually contribute rather than simply attend. We use non-formal education, group work, discussions, creative methods and learning by doing. We believe good youth work starts with people actually wanting to be there, so we try to create activities that feel natural, open and relevant to young people's everyday lives.
