Passionate about cultural heritage, restoration and active European citizenship. We are Borf, an informal group of four young people from Türkiye, who came together to raise awareness about the value of cultural heritage and the importance of restoration, and to promote European Union values among young people and local communities. Our team Six young people (3 women, 3 men) with complementary professional backgrounds: 2 Architects 1 Art Education Teacher, Special Education (Teacher) 1 Architectural Restorer 1 International Relationships Expert 1 Industrial Engineer This combination lets us approach heritage and restoration from technical, creative and inclusive angles at the same time. Our first project We are preparing our first Erasmus+ project, a Youth Participation Activity (KA154), built around: raising public awareness of cultural heritage and the importance of restoration; promoting EU values, fundamental rights and active citizenship among young people; non-formal education and youth participation in democratic life; accessibility and inclusion in heritage and learning environments; intercultural dialogue between Turkish and European youth. As a newly formed group taking its first steps into Erasmus+, we hope to carry out our mobility in Italy, where rich cultural heritage and hands-on restoration practice offer an ideal learning environment for our group. What we bring technical knowledge of architecture and restoration; an inclusive, education-oriented approach through our special education background; genuine motivation and openness to learning as first-time applicants; commitment to intercultural exchange and long-term cooperation. We believe that understanding and protecting our shared cultural heritage brings young people together, strengthens local communities, and helps build a stronger, more inclusive European identity.
