PLURAL. - ASSOCIAÇÃO PARA O PLURALISMO

PLURAL. is a non-profit association based in Porto, Portugal, founded in 2026 to work on pluralism as a practice rather than a principle. For us, pluralism is the active, critical and constructive engagement with multiple perspectives. It is not tolerance, not the celebration of diversity, and not relativism. Every activity we design has to pass one test: does it ask people to reflect across difference, or only to notice it? We develop research, educational and cultural initiatives that strengthen democratic participation, critical thinking and plural perspectives, through interdisciplinary collaboration and European cooperation. Our work sits across five interconnected themes: Living Heritage and Communities; Democracy, Participation and Participatory Action Research; Responsible AI and Digital Culture; Education and Learning Innovation; and Places, Identity and Belonging. We are most interested in the intersections between them, for example heritage that raises questions of participation, or AI that raises questions of whose knowledge a system carries. What we contribute to a partnership falls into three clusters. First, project management and coordination: structuring and running cross-border partnerships from concept to delivery, work plans, timelines, partner alignment, proposal writing and dissemination. Second, research and content development: literature review, qualitative research, participatory action research, interviews and focus groups, and the production of toolkits, playbooks, learning materials, educator training materials, cultural routes and workshop formats. Third, innovation and co-creation: co-design and facilitation, democratic dialogue formats, community engagement, hackathon and design-thinking facilitation, and the integration of digital tools and AI into learning environments. Concretely, we can commit to workshop design and facilitation, teacher and educator training, participatory action research fieldwork and methodology design, pedagogical and cultural content production, public events, community-authored cultural routes, toolkits and handbooks, and facilitator training for local partners. Our team speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Dutch. PLURAL. is a young organisation. It was registered in 2026 and began activity in April 2026. The founding team, however, brings years of experience in European education and cultural cooperation, including coordinating projects with partners across seven European countries and producing published toolkits, playbooks and training programmes. We are currently looking to join consortia as a full partner and work package leader, in Erasmus+, Horizon Europe Cluster 2, Creative Europe and small-scale KA210 partnerships, and to build long-term relationships with schools, universities, museums, municipalities and civil society organisations across Europe. · https://plural.ngo
