Non-Formal group

Non-Formal teamed up to meet the non-formal educational needs of Maltese youth especially those who are geographically emarginated. Our primary aim to introduce and encourage youth to meet people from diverse backgrounds. Our first trips we did were to Sicily where we did voluntary work in Ragusa for a month each time. The objective of meeting and working with people from different backgrounds, family types, cultures, nationalities, religions and race has been successful. Our aim to continue to offer information to locals who do not know yet of youth exchanges and voluntary service schemes outside of the Maltese islands. The insularity of Malta is a barrier that we need to break using non-formal education. Participated as a volunteer in two summer camps in Ragusa, Sicily in Italy: leadership of teenage groups. This involved the organisation of child day care, leisure activities such as outings, practical sessions and survival information for all. This opportunity was organized to help the nuns of Mother Theresa in Ragusa, Sicily, Italy.
