SASO (Ghana)

Service Awareness Support Organization is an educational platform, created by Ghanaian and European volunteers that aims to support underprivileged people (specially children, youngsters, aged and people with disabilities) in resolving their social and economic issues. We intend to inspire the community and empower people to be agents of change in their own lives and in the ones of their neighbours, through education (both formal and non-formal), rehabilitation, development cooperation, inter-culture exchange, provision of finantial literacy to poor families, etc. We are located in Wiaboman community in the outskirts of Accra, Ghana. Currently we operate a community-initiative school from cheche to primary with 200 registered children; we identify and support vulnerable people in the community, specially aged and disabled people and we do a range of awareness activities on health, education and environment.
